Company registration form

This is a form for entering information about a company that you want to have listed in the Chipdir.

A listing in the Chipdir is free, but don't expect miracles from it. When you want a lot of exposure consider advertising.

Please:

Don't use this form to ask urgent questions. I usually handle these forms all at once a few weeks before I publish a new version of the Chipdir. So email me instead. I spend a lot of time on answering email.
Try to use proper English as much as possible. I'm used to correcting a lot of errors very quickly by now, but some entries need a lot of cleaning up: Don't use all-caps text, don't use unnecessary abbreviations, don't use a point after the state abbreviation.

What page to put the company on

To know where to put your company in the Chipdir I need to know what the main thing is that your company does.

	What does the company mainly do with chips?	Please select the company's main activity. When in doubt please describe in the comment field at the end. When you think the company should be listed in several categories please explain in the comment field.

Company name

Telephone numbers

Please use the format +<country>-<city>-<callee>, so in the USA something like: +1-234-567-8901. Split the callee number when it's more than 4 digits and make the last group 4 digits. Don't use something like +1-(0)123-456-7890 to indicate what your fellow countrymen need to dial. They are clever enough to recognise their own country code and leave it out. Don't use spaces to seperate digits, use dashes ('-').

Please use functional names like info@company_name.com and sales@company_name.com instead of personal names, because the latter will change every x years.

If your WWW site is easy to navigate you only need to enter the first line, otherwise please first consider to improve your site, but if that's impossible you can help people by filling in the others lines as well.

Company description

(Usually you can copy a part of your company's about page.)

Please write or edit the description so that:

It is in the third person plural, so: 'They ...' (prefered) or write the whole text as 'We ...' (not prefered). Don't mix these styles.
Don't repeat the company name, foundation date, location, URL, email address or any of the other data above.
Don't ask people to visit your site: They will when they are interested in your products or service, so tell about them. (Distributors: Give a list of brands that you sell.)
Please try to avoid management lingo like 'leading', 'biggest', 'solution', 'advanced', 'good service' and 'quality' etc. These words make the text very unreadable for technical professionals.
When you are a small chip making company try to list all the chips and their description. You can also send it separately by email to me later or (prefered) make sure your WWW site always has an ASCII comma separated spreadsheet file at a constant location that I (and similar sites) can download.
